Here is a template you can use when doing your character sketches.  It is generalized from ones I have used, so that you should be able to apply it to whatever sort of story you are writing.  I will of course be tweaking and adding to this template with time.  If you have any comments or suggestions about this template, please feel free to email me.  (sandra@sandra-miller.com)  (Your email address will not be used for any other purpose or provided to any third parties.) Just print it out, fill it in, and away you go!

Why is this goal so important to this character?

 

 

Are there any events in the character's past that affect the significance of this goal?

 

 

Describe your characters life till now, motivations, family situation, pet peeves--anything that comes to you, in the rest of this space.
